My sister-in-law (who made the booking, with a list of questions to ask!) let them know in advance about his nut and seed allergies, and the staff informed her that they had dealt with severe allergies before (without incident!), they appreciated the risks of cross contamination and also assured my sister-in-law that there would be dishes that he could eat. So far, so good.
On the day, staff couldn’t have been more helpful and checked and double checked everything that was asked about – nothing was too much trouble for them, including checking the labelling on the flour they used for pancakes for traces of allergens (a “may contain sesame”…boo!). My son thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Unfortunately, I missed out on the evening but can’t wait to go back with my husband and the boys – as they said the place itself and the food were great. It’s one of five Ribble Valley Inns in Lancashire and I’d also be happy to try out the others now, given my family’s experience here.”
